The Sun is Out

Campbell loves to go outside and would play out there everyday all day if we let her. It has been raining the last few days so we were not able to go out and play. Why we can't play outside was very hard to explain to an almost 2 year old. Everyday I would here outside please, play outside please and my response has been it's raining we can't go out unless the sun is out. Well this morning we woke up and what were her first words "sun is out Mom". With the sun shining so bright we thought it would be a great day to go to the park and the beach with Grandpa. Campbell ran all around going up and down the slides and playground. She even decided she liked the beach this year and even better then the beach was the lake. Yes our little fish went right in the water, she announced that it was cold but then went right back for more.

Boyne

Last weekend we took a little vacation to Boyne Mountain Resort. They have skiing, sledding, and Campbell's favorite a gigantic water park. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back again someday. While we were there we of course hit the water park each day and their 90 degree outdoor pool with views of the ski hills. We also did a little traveling to cities near by, Petoskey, Boyne City, and Charlevoix. The weather was perfect the entire time we were there and they even had an Easter basket waiting for Campbell outside our door on Sunday. Campbell's top 3 would have to be the water slide (yes we have a dare devil on our hands), the outdoor pool, and the onion rings we got in Petoskey. She didn't understand why we would not let her go down the water slides by herself and why the only tube ride she was tall enough to go on was the lazy river.

Campbell called the hotel the castle.

Each morning Campbell would run down the hall as fast as she could to get to the water park yelling swim swim the whole way.

Here is part of the water park, the purple slide up top there was the one she loved to race down.

Here is the outdoor pool that we spent many hours splashing around in.

Just hanging out.

Dying Easter Eggs

The bunny is on his way so we decided to decorate some Easter Eggs. At first Campbell was not impressed by a plain hard boiled egg....and then we dropped it in the cup and when it came out pink, she was ready for more. She is very into her colors lately and knows most of them. We spend lots of time hearing about what color the different cars are that drive by or what color shirt we all have on each day. When the eggs were all done she of course claimed the pink one for herself and decided Daddy should have the green one.

She carried around the princess box for days before we got to actually opening it.

There were cut outs of all the Disney princesses inside and little egg holders that we made into bracelets. We could have stopped here and Campbell would have been happy just playing with the princess dolls.

The kit came with stickers that you can see Campbell thought looked better on her then the eggs.

Pep Rally

We all got on our best Spartan gear Friday night and joined our friends at the MSU pep rally. We had a great time with a few thousand other fans cheering the Spartan basketball team on their way to the final four. It was so great to see everyone so excited for the big game. There was ice cream, hot dogs, cheerleaders, the band, players, oh, and of course Sparty and Coach Izzo. We had a great time and the kids loved it also. Here are some pics of the big event.

All dressed up and ready to go.

WOW look at all that green!

Who's having more fun Daddy or Campbell?

Anyone look familiar?

Cheese!
