Soccer

Campbell started soccer this spring and loves it. The week before she started we took her to the park to test out her new cleats and here is her game face.

Here she is all ready for her first big game. The team name is the Sounders and 2 of the little girls in her class are on the same team. She has had so much fun and scored 3 goals in the last game.
Running some drills before the game starts.
Here she is number 3!

New Jersey

We took a trip to New Jersey in April to meet the adorable Princess Kady! Campbell was so excited to see her cousins she keeps asking when we are going back. We had lots of fun playing
with Kady and Tommy and seeing our east coast family. We wish we got to see them all more!

Campbell would not leave Tommy's side the entire weekend. Kady is one lucky little girl to have such a great big brother.

Swimmer of the Month

Campbell was selected to be swimmer of the month at her swim school. Her teacher and her had their picture on the bulletin board and she was also given a special ribbon. We are so proud of our little fish!

Ice Festival

Last month we went with Auntie Annie and Grandpa to the ice festival. It was a sunny but cold day which was just perfect for a game if ice sculpture mini golf.

Learning to golf in a snowsuit makes for an interesting challenge.

Of course Campbell's favorite one was Minnie Mouse.
The best snack for a cold winter day is ......Smores of course.

Add some face paint and our snow festival has a snow princess!
What better way to end our day then a few runs down the hill in our sled.

Even grandpa got in on the sledding.

Florida

A few days before New Years we headed south to Florida to cheer on the Spartans and see a few sites. We went to the alumni tailgate before the game and had a blast. They had music, Sparty, MSU cheerleaders, band, and players walking to the stadium. Great food and even a truck full of MSU Dairy Store ice cream. We had so much fun talking with all the spartan fans from across the country and dancing and cheering.

The game didn't turn out quite the way we wanted it to but we had terrific seats and a beautiful day.

Since we knew the out come of the game at the beginning of the 4th quarter we decided to go back to the hotel and go swimming. Campbell spent hours jumping off the side of the pool and swimming around like a fish.

Here she is in the pool with her buddy Rowan. To add even more excitement to the trip some fabulous friends from Chicago joined us for the last few days.

We of course could not go to Orlando without stopping in to see our friends at Disney World. Campbell is becoming a pro at navigating the park and still loves those tea cups!

We all got in on the fun when we met Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from the new movie Tangled.

We also stopped in at Sea World to have some fun. Here we are feeding and petting the dolphins. This was by far my favorite part of Sea World.

Enjoying the New Horizons Dolphin show.

Christmas

This was a magical Christmas, we started out Christmas eve by sprinkling Magic Reindeer Dust all over the front lawn. The oats attract the reindeer and the glitter sparkles in the moonlight so Santa knows where to land. Here is Campbell in her PJ's and boots spreading the dust around.

We had dinner with Grandpa and Auntie Annie and then made Santa's favorite cookies. If you don't know what Santa's favorite cookie is then just ask Steve, chocolate chip with M&M's.

You should always test the cookies before leaving them out for Santa.

Christmas morning Campbell woke up to find a new pink bike under the tree. She could not wait to hop on and go for a spin.

Here she is decorating the cool cupcakes that Uncle Paul sent.
She even got a real Cinderella's castle from Auntie Annie.

Family Holiday Fun

In the weekends leading up to Christmas we got to spend time with family. We started out with the traditional ginger bread building party. This is where the adults enjoy some food and good company, while the kids get all hoped up on sugar as they decorate their house. It's so fun at the end to see the different houses and the creativity of each little builder.

Campbell with her cousins....getting them to sit still after all that sugar was a miracle.

We then got to go play and party with the Lyons clan. Campbell had lots of fun playing with all the cousins and making candy cane Christmas ornaments.
